About Us

Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc. is recognized as a charitable 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. BSRI services are supported by state and federal funding through Brunswick County and Home and Community Care Block Grant (regulated by the Older Americans' Act). Additional funding is provided through consumer and donor contributions.

Our Vision:

BSRI is the lead nonprofit agency providing programs and services open to adults aged 55 and older in
Brunswick County, North Carolina.

BSRI also manages a long-standing thrift store. Proceeds from merchandise sales benefit Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc. programs and services. Please visit the store at 10001 Beach Drive in Calabash, North Carolina. If you have items you are interested in donating to the store, please contact them at (910) 579-7488.

(Some grant funded programs require participants to be at least 60 years of age)

Rental Services

BSRI offers after-hours and weekend facility rentals at certain locations. Please contact Debra Marlowe for reservation information and fee scheduling. Debra can be reached at (910) 754-2300, extension 1008. You may also request information at dmarlowe@bsrinc.org for rental availability.

Please be aware that a new website for facility rentals to be lauched soon.

Five locations are currently available for rental considerations (Brunswick Centers at Southport, Shallotte, Supply, Leland and Calabash). Senior centers can currently be viewed between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please call to schedule viewing the Supply location.

Bestowed Donations

Please consider including BSRI in your estate planning. Donations can be designated for restricted choices or for general purposes to expand senior services in Brunswick County.

What BSRI Collaborates With  Other Nonprofits

BSRI accepts and offers referrals from and to other nonprofits, churches, civic groups, and government entities on behalf of senior adults requesting the services listed above.  

What Could BSRI Use from Other Nonprofits

BSRI is especially in need of volunteers to assist with program needs,
driving Meals on Wheels™ routes, serving as SHIIP counselors, and more.

Eligibility for Services

Program services listed are available to adults aged 60 and older without charge. Beginning January 1, 2019, BSRI program services will be offered to adults aged 50-59 for an annual fee of $99. Consumer contributions are encouraged when possible. Some programs have additional eligibility guidelines.
